Tournament #4 Results! 8 wannabes showed up for tourney #4 and it was a good evening - filled with lots of aggressive play - particularly from Peter Dueck and Jared Nickel.
A hand early on was a really tough beat for TooEager - as he was holding A2 - and the flop came 345. Unfortunately, Peter was holding 67 - and TooEager was sent home early on a really, really tough beat. It seems he has had the toughest luck of all who have shown up. I'm sure he'll turn it around next game.
The 2nd last hand of the night saw Peter's aggressiveness get him in trouble as he pushed all in with a weak J - and was called off by coolkanuck's A10. The A held - and Peter was left with only 1 big blind. The final hand was inconsequential and coolkanuck earned his 2nd victory in only 4 tourneys.
It was good to see a larger field and hope we can see lots of you fish find your way to tourney #5.

Tournament #3 Results! A small turnout didn't slow down the action at the 3rd event this year. Two hands worth mentioning:
In the 5th blind level, with a board of 55Q5, David O'Soup considered the Q in his hand to be good and shoved all in for a massive overbet of the pot. He was called by Dave Carey who indeed had the A5 and had turned quads.
The final hand of the night saw Dave Carey (A5s) call Andrew's (QQ) all in bet. Dave flopped a straight. Even though Andrew turned two pair, he couldn't fill up on the river - and the series once again crowned a newcomer as champion for the night. Congratulations Dave! Hope to see you back soon!
The next night is set for Dec. 4th - starting at 8PM - a slightly later start to accomodate a couple of schedules. Please check your calendars and RSVP if you can make it!

Tournament #2 Results! Two players paired a significant card rush with some uber-aggressive play and found themselves heads up at the end as a result. At one point, Scott Kopp won 8 out of 12 hands and was the dominant bully and chip leader at the table. Unfortunately, a poorly timed bluff diminished his stack and opened the door for David to meet him at the end in a heads up battle. David also ran into a card rush - but his rush came at the end of the game and led to his eventual victory. The last hand found David's A6 vs Scott's A4 - and surprisingly, enough low cards came that the pot didn't split and David's 6 played. Congrats to both of these fish!
