Tournament Structure And Payouts
If you have not yet been advised below is a rough layout of how the Weekly Tournaments, and Grand Final will look like.
Each week for 5 weeks a game will be held in which will be a buy-in for $10, $2 of this will goto the Grand Final prize pool, and the other $8 will goto the Weekly Prize Pool.
All players will start the Weekly Tournaments with the same amount in chips (See Event Details For More Information)
Depending on the number of players in this event will determine the points awarded to each player. This is because, we believe you should be awarded more points for coming 1st in a 16 player game then in a 10 player game. Each player will receive points in an event, even if you are first out.
Example: Coming 1st in a 10 person game, you will receive 310 points; Coming 1st in a 16 person game, you will receive 498 points. And likewise for 2nd, 3rd etc. And even last place will get points.
Pay outs for Weekly Tournaments will be pretty standard. We will pay out the top 3 players, in a standard 10 player game, payouts will be awarded as follows:
1st Place = $50.00
2nd Place = $20.00
3rd Place = $10.00
Assuming we had 16 players, the payout would look something like this:
1st Place = $60.00
2nd Place = $25.00
3rd Place = $18.00
4th Place = $15.00
5th Place = $10.00
The basic rule of payouts that we are running with is: For first 10 players payout 3, for every 3 more after that, add 1 payout.
As mentioned in the previous post, there is $2 taken out of the players buy-in, for the Grand Final. Again, I'm stressing that all money goes back to the players.

Open Season Kick-Off
Starting 22/03/2007, we will be kicking off the new season of BPL events.
Called 'Open Season' this is the start of a $10 a game buy-in; 5 week; 5 tournament structure.
At the end of the 5 weeks, players that have participated in the event(s) will be entered into the Grand Final.
Each game a player buys into, and the position they finish in, will be given points for playing, even if you are first out, you will receive points.
Come the grand final these points will be converted into a starting stack.
Each game will take $2 from each player which will be put into the Grand Final pool.
The Weekly Prize Pool: will be $80 assuming we have 10 players. (See event details for more information)
Grand Final Prize Pool: Estimated to be about $100, again assuming we have 10 players each night.
Every player will get a chance to win this money, no matter how poorly they may have played in the season.
Of course the better you played, the more points you receive, and the more chips you start with at the Grand Final.
Note: 100% of the money that is paid by the players will go towards the Weekly Prize Pool and Grand Final.
