Spring 2007 - Awakening #3 Results!
In a game that featured sveral shifting chip stacks throughout, this one was ultimately defined by the fact that Moo-Moo was the first out by a decided time span.

The 2007 Spring Season Gets In Gear
The DLPT has been taking some time off from the grueling schedule of tournament games and has been meeting now for three weeks for smaller, non-points based games. However, in the interest of getting those seasonal games back up, I believe we should seriously consider starting a new season here within the next few weeks. There are topics to discuss (see Message Board) but we should get moving before we lose our momentum.
As far as the new seasonís naming is concerned, I think something like the 2007 Spring Ballbuster Season sounds pretty good, especially with the talk that has been circulating amongst the players.
Please reply to the messages so we can get started again soon.

Awakening #1 Results!
Last season was a race to catch Dan. After that, I hope everyone has had a chance to relax, go on vacation, and stretch their legs a little now that we've taken a few weeks off.
Diving back in though, we will be playing this Wednesday in a non-season tournament format. We will be maintaining the blind schedule that we adopted for the Championship. Gonsa has agreed to host this game. Pleas respond ASAP
In addition, please check out the site later today for some articles that concern the league as a whole.

Texas Hold'em $100 Buy-in Poker Tournament
My name is Robert. A friend of mine, Norman , has asked me to help him organize a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament he wants to hold in Reston, Va on Saturday, May 19, 2007. The main prize will be a seat at the WSOP including a $10,000 buy-in, hotel, and airfare. This will be a $300 buy-in and we can seat about 50 people.
We have seats available. This is not the actual invitation. The invitation has already gone out to most of the interested people. If you have not gotten an invitation, you should respond to this email right away so I can send you the invitation. It will be an Evite for you to respond to.
If you or a friend are interested, please email me back now with your
City, State, and Zip
If you have questions about the tournament, please email me back, or give me a phone call. Contact information is at the top of the page.
There is no rake or entry fee. It is our intention to pay out all buy-in money, most of it going to the 1st place winner. If enough people play we intend to pay some money to additional places - whatever is left over that is not required for the 1st plae prize. This will be at Norman's home in Reston. Doors will open at 5:00, the tournament starts at 6:00. There will be no rebuys. There will be a ring (cash) game that gets started once people get knocked out of the tournament.
The blind structure will closely match a casino WSOP satellite, such as the ones at Harrah's the week of the 11th. The blinds will raise every 30 minutes, antes will start about 1/3 of the way into the tournament, everyone will start with 4,000 in chips, and the tournament will last about six hours or so. Most of you have played with us at Norman's house; we've gotten this to the point of running smoothly now.
This is a week from Saturday. Please respond to the Evite if you have not yet. If you have not recieved the Evite, please email me back with your infomation right away. Again, if you have any questions please ask.

The Winner Is..............
Pat. Pat. Pat.
I posted these results tonight so they would be up in the shortest time possible. The overall $ results for the year should reflect the extra $10 every player contributed toward the championship pool every week, plus the extra $10 week 12 buy-in as well as the extra $20 championship buy-in.
I will audit these numbers on Thursday evening to make sure they are 100% accurate.
Congrats to Pat!!!.....and John.....and Dan for kicking our ass all year.

The Championship Results!
If Premie or Brad play in the Final, each would owe $30 at this time. If Gary plays in the Final, he would owe $50 at this time. Everyone else would owe $20 at this time.
